Founded in 1950 by Naoharu Yamashina; from 1951 began exporting and producing its first metal toy, an aeroplane, the B-26. Specialising in vehicles, it is considered the most successful and largest Japanese toy manufacturer.
In 1963, the company opened its first offices in the United States; it was in the 1970s that the legend was built, thanks in particular to robots and the first electronic toys.
