Bob
Annemasse
From 1945 – 1950s
It was at Oflag II D (in Pomerania) that a group of prisoners, engineers and architects, produced the first prototypes that would become BOB toys, inspired by the tubular scaffolding designed at the end of the 1930s in Switzerland by the engineer H.C. Baumgartner.
On their return from captivity, they launched the production of BOB construction boxes in Annemasse on the basis of a patent registered at the end of 1942.
