| Bucherer SABA Amriswill 1919 – 1950s Founded by August Bucherer in 1919. Manufacturer of wooden toys. In 1921 he registered the patents for articulated metal figurines and presented them in 1922 at the Leipzig fair. These SABA figurines sold very well, mainly in the USA until 1925. From 1927, he relaunched the production of wooden toys, some of which were accessories for the figurines (biplane): The 1929 crisis aggravated the company’s problems. The production of figurines ceased in 1932 and sales in 1935. August Bucherer died in 1945. |
