Bühler, Triberg (Black Forest), Germany. Founded in 1860 by the Bühler brothers, the factory first produced clockwork (windup) mechanisms. In 1924, a unit was set up in Nuremberg to meet the needs of clients such as Bing, Orobr, and Tipp & Co. As of 1927, the Bühler brothers developed coil spring mechanisms, then friction mechanisms. The stylized spruce logo is on numerous mechanisms and keys. |
