Julio Fornaro’s father owned a factory that made lithographed tinplate FlyTox insect repellent pumps. Julio Fornaro started making lithographed tinplate toys in 1948 and became Uruguay’s biggest producer during the 1950-1960 period.
Production ceased in the early 1970s.
